Tips:
When buying, look for firm Spring onions (Scallions in the US) with bright, smooth leaves that have no sliminess nor blemishes.
To prepare the Spring Onion, give it a rinse and remove the outermost skin layer. Chop off the tail where the roots are and chop according to desired size.
Food waste tip: Both the white and dark green parts of the Spring Onion are edible, so make sure to use both.
