Tips:

  • To prepare an onion, cut off the top and peel back the papery layers. Keep the other end of the onion intact, as this will help you when chopping the onion, regardless of the cut you need.

  • White and yellow onions are more pungent in flavour than red ones, so unless you like their sharp taste avoid using them raw.
