Tips:
When buying, choose okra that is small and firm.
To prepare Okra, wash and dry thoroughly and remove the top stems.
To avoid Okra’s slimy texture you can do two things: make sure not to open the Okra pod and cook the vegetable on high heat.
Once Okra is chopped it will release its juice which is a great thickening agent, making chopped Okra perfect for soups and stews.
