Tips:
To prepare, wear thick gloves and remove the stems from the leaves - the stems are a little tough and should be discarded.
The prickly nature of the nettle disappears once the vegetable is cooked, so you can either wash the nettles and sauté them or blanch them directly.
Other than their prickle, nettles can very much be treated like spinach, just with a deeper and more peppery flavour.
If you are hoping to forage nettle, head out spring or early summer and look for young leaves.
