Tips:

  • When buying, look for young, fresh-looking pods with firm beans inside.

  • Brown spots on the bean are completely fine to eat, so no need to remove them.

  • To prepare the runner beans, remove the top and tail and use a vegetable peeler to run through the sides of the bean and remove the thread.
