Tips:

  • When buying, look for broccoli with deep green bushels with few blemishes.

  • Broccoli is a part of the Cabbage Family, also closely related to Cauliflower and other Brassica’s. Broccoli should not be confused with Broccoli Raab (Rabe or Rapini), which is actually a type of turnip with leafy, bitter greens.

  • Food waste tip: Do not discard the stalks, they are just as delicious and sweet as the florets and have a lovely crunch.
