Tips:

  • Arrowroot is not commonly consumed as a vegetable in the UK, but it is similar to yam, cassava, sweet potato, and taro.

  • It is most commonly found in flour form - a nutrient-rich option for those who are celiac or gluten-intolerant. 

  • If using Arrowroot flour in the place of cornstarch, keep in mind that it thickens at a lower temperature than and generally does not mix well with dairy.
