Tips:

  • Brown mushrooms have a mild flavour compared to other mushrooms and can be eaten both raw and cooked.

  • When buying, look for mushrooms that have smooth, firm and dry caps with closed undersides.

  • To wash the mushrooms, place them in a bowl of warm water and gently rub them between your fingers to remove any dirt.

  • Food waste tip: Do not remove and discard the stem, this is perfectly edible. Just cut the very tip and cook the stems with the caps.
